This National Apprenticeship Week, we're highlighting our Security Apprenticeship and the opportunities it creates.
Finlay was a finalist for Apprentice of the Year at the national BSIA Awards and currently works in event security. One of the highlights of his apprenticeship has been learning how to correctly diffuse situations using PI techniques, building confidence and real-world skills on the job.
He said, "My advice to anyone considering it is go for it!"

A fantastic day celebrating our incredible people! Every single day, they do amazing things, whether it's saving lives or raising the alarm to prevent a fire and protect property. For them, this is just part of the job.Earlier this week, we took the time to recognise and reward the individuals whose actions strengthen our communities every day, truly living our core purpose. Well done to everyone! It was a heartwarming day, hearing from managers and colleagues who had travelled from all over the UK. Around 40 awards were presented across life-saving events, fire prevention, protest support, front-line excellence, and management support roles and more. Each award highlighted the dedication, courage, and teamwork that make our communities safer and stronger, a real reminder of the amazing people behind the job.
